- Pelar y picar los tomates y, por separado, realizar el mismo proceso con los pimientos.
Reservar el jugo de asar colado. - Pondremos una cazuela al fuego con un fondo de aceite y doraremos los piñones, añadir el diente de ajo bien picado posteriormente para dorar también. (Cuidado con no quemar el ajo!)
- Añadir a la cazuela el atún desmigado con las manos (no cortar con cuchillo pues pierde sabor).
Añadir los pimientos y los tomates ya picados más la cucharadita de azúcar.
Remover. - Dejar todo a fuego lento reducir durante aprox. 10 minutos.
Añadir el caldo reservado de asar la verdura y reduciremos de nuevo (a gusto) hasta obtener la textura deseada siendo esta una textura jugosa y no seca. - Apartamos del fuego y probamos para rectificar de sal, no añadir sal hasta ese momento pues la sal del atún puede ser suficiente.
